I sent a letter to the USA, and the letter contains a USD cheque over 10k back in Jan. 11th.
My counter party haven't received it yet as of today.
I put a stop payment to that cheque and resend it again on Feb 1st. This time with tracking number (paid extra $15+ for it). The tracking number indicated that it has left Canada. That is all the information they got. I called into Canada Post to ask a few questions, the attitude of that lady wasn't pleasant. The only thing that lady can give me is what is given online.
When I asked her if the mail got withheld somewhere because it contains a cheque over 10k. She replied no. She sounded like she doesn't know anything.
I was just wondering if anyone here knows a bit more than that lady.
