So, Hydro One was supposedly going to shorten the gap between when we actually used our electricity, and when they billed us for it. They said the average delay was 18 days.
Question #1, why wouldn't they simply issue the bill sooner to shorten the gap??? They could have even phased it in over 6 months by shortening the gap by 2 to 3 days each month. Seems like a no brainer, but we are talking Hydro One here, so "no brainer" makes sense...
Question #2, now that I'm done paying for the extra 18 days of electricity to 'shorten' the gap, why do I still see a delay of 8 to 12 days between when I actually use the electricity and am billed for it??? While paying the monthly instalments for the real time billing, my bill was dated 6 days after the usage period. I received the electronic bill 2 days after that. My most recent bill was dated 10 days after the usage period plus 2 days for the e-bill. Though, there were the holidays to deal with... so maybe that's why the delay increased by 4 days?
So, they've done well by shortening the gap from an average of 18 days to 6 days + e-bill delay. So, why did we pay 18 days, when really it should have only been 12? Do they plan on shortening up the current 6 day delay to 0 days in the coming months???? (I doubt it!).
Maybe I'm just disgruntled since Hydro rates are going up, or maybe because of the salaries these guys make... *sigh*... end of rant.
