Lost, cancelled, and reissued credit card

I recently lost my credit card with by far the longest history, so I called CIBC and had it reported as lost/stolen and had it reissued.

Does anyone know if the reissued card will count as a new account in regards to my credit score/history, or will it just be a continuation of the original card? I guess my question is whether or not this will affect my credit history in any way? I'm a little bummed out because I had been keeping that card only because it was such an old account.
