A friend of mine is making a claim for an item they lost on vacation which was purchased on their VISA card.
Since the VISA insurance is considered supplementary to your home insurance policy, they are asking for a copy of the homeowners policy to ensure that the value doesn't exceed the deductible.
The value of the item is around $400 and the deductible on the home policy is $500, so I believe VISA will cover it all.
Just wondering if this can affect the rates on the home insurance policy? Would it even get reported to them? Thx!
