Hi, I am 19 years old student. I have a credit card with BMO with a debt of 1645$. I could not pay the card so they canceled it. I have changed my number a long time ago so I did not receive anything from them except letters asking me to pay and a letter from a judicial officer asking me to pay the amount. I did not answer to them because I did not have any money. They have now put my funds in my BMO Chequing account on hold. My question is simple: I have looked up the internet and realized that the funds that come to my account from the Solidarity Program of Revenue Quebec cannot be put on hold, but is it the same matter for my loans and bursaries from the Quebec's Aide Financiere Aux Etudes? I would like to know if they can put these funds on hold or not because I have to pay my university. I have been living from these loans and bursaries for a while since I have a tumor on my left kidney and some other few health problems that almost won't allow me to work. So I'd be grateful if someone could tell me if my funds for my studies can be put on hold or not.
