Converting USD to CAD?

Hey guys,

I'll be working in the US for the next few years and obviously will be paid in US dollars. I will however need to convert about $1300 USD to CAD every month from my paycheque. What would be the cheapest way to do this?

Right now I'm thinking of doing the following:

Oanda doesn't charge any fees for deposit/withdrawal from credit cards although credit cards will charge their standard cash advance fee. There are no fee cash advance credit cards in the states. Are there any in Canada? If there aren't which credit card has the lowest cash advance fee?

Another thing I can do is simply convert from my RBC USD checking -> RBC CAD checking but their foreign exchange fee is ridiculous. I can also open USD and CAD accounts at ING Direct and I think their rates are better than RBC. Anyone have any experience? Also can you guys think of any other options?

Thanks for your help.
