So I would just like to pose this question to our community to find out some objective opinions. Here's the scenario, a friend of mine owns a company in Vancouver British Columbia and being the responsible entrepreneur he is applied for all applicable licensing permitted to operate his call center legally, now firstly, he notified me, that BPCPa charges an application fee for submitting the simple application the fee is over 1000.00, but he was told the fee in non refundable, when he inquired what the hold up is. I Was surprised to find this part out specifically because I had used this group when a local health company began running up charges and they advised me to dispute the charges through my credit card issuer, seems a bit backwards they charge a application fee and didn't offer any types of refund when their health product failed, not only has my friend's application been in with them for weeks, he's been told he cannot operate in the mean time, during the underwriting process. So he being proactive contacted the city council and they notified him that they had signed off on it immediately, What a surprise municipally everything is good, and he operates in selling his products out of country and province, So are they therefore out of jurisdiction? Should he gave them a taste of their own medicine and dispute the charge? My opinion this is just another example of B.C.'s crown corps power going to their head and dragging an application process through the mud, so I say scam scam scam and shame on you BPCPA, stop shitting on the little guy!
