Hello,
I am seeking advice on what is the best way to repair and re-built my credit. I've recently viewed my Equifax report and my credit score is "poor". I have an RBC Bank VISA that has been written off with less than $1000 of credit on it. Last activity was within the year of 2010. I also have a MBNA Card that has been sent to collections (FIN Debt Recovery) and currently I have an amount of approximately $1500 not paid - last activity 2010.
Would it be ideal to contact RBC and ask them to resume my monthly payments for my credit card that has been written off? I am able to pay in full, but I am worried it wont create any positive record within my credit report.
Regards to money being owned to FIN Debt...Should I be targeting to fully settle with them? or approach MBNA first?
I honestly don't know how I should start on a positive note here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
