2 yr fixed closed mortgage (2.690%)

Not certain if a 2 year term makes sense but my renewal included a 2 yr fixed closed - 2.690% and I was wondering if that was a good value.

For those of you getting a mortgage what length of term have you been taking and what do you think is better right now Variable or Fixed.
