Hi. I've been reading through threads about each of these separately but I'm a little lost in all the information out there.
Currently I have a TD Value Plus Chequings account I pay 10.95/month for, as well as a TD Green Visa.
I also have a discount brokerage account with TD which has no monthly fee (I don't do much, if any trading at the moment so I'm not concerned about this).
As it stands, I make all purchases with my VISA and make sure to pay it off with my Chequings account each month. I've started a new job and I have begun saving each month.
Here's my dilemma: I have been storing my "savings" money in my Discount Brokerage account simply so I don't accidentally over-spend with my Chequings account. I like to keep my savings separate from my spending account. The fee would be waived on my chequings account if I kept a balance over $2,500.
I'm simply trying to eliminate any fees while still having the ability to move my money around easily.
I don't want a Savings or a TFSA account (or anything similar) as I may need to access money from my savings more frequently than once a month - and there are large fees associated with doing so (they outweigh the potential interest earned since I don't yet have much saved up).
So this is what I need:
- No fee chequing account.
- Seperate account to store savings money - prefer a no fee chequing account [Although I'm willing to entertain the idea of a savings account with low fees].
- Free transfers between those first two accounts.
- Ideally a credit card with Cash-back incentive and no annual fee.
I receive my salary by cheque, not direct deposity, so I do require some interaction for deposits - be it teller or ABM.
Thanks in advance for any advice. =)
