Transferring over $10,000 from one bank to another online. Safe?

Hello all,

I would like to take advantage of PC Financial's 2.6% bonus interest promotion. So, I have quite a large sum of money sitting in my People's Trust account and I have link my two account through PT. But I was wondering if it is safe to transfer large sums of money online. Could my money get "lost" or magically disappear? I would obviously keep a record of the transfer but I was just wondering if any of you had any advice or opinions on the matter?
