We are dealing with a bit of a financial mess and was wondering what would be the best way to get assistance for parents who live with me along with my wife and a 3 year old in my same house. I only have single income at this time and was wondering if i should go apply for the trillium drug plan benifit to get some assistance with the cost of medicines.
I am not sure if i should have my parents declared as dependents at the time of application or if i should have my dad declare himself as a primary applicant and declare his income as zero. He isn't getting any Old age benefit or pension etc. Are there any other methods to get some assistance for parents that would be living with my at this time, they are both above 60 and don't have any income at all.
