TransUnion unable to verify my ID when applying for a TD US account

I live in Canada and work in the US. Paid in US dollars. I bank with TD in Canada, so I figured I'd open a US account with the american arm of TD.

But when I call and run through the ID verification process, the TransUnion system spits out three questions I'm supposed to be able to answer. They are multiple choice.

So far I've tried twice, and both times the first two questions have no correct answers. They both ask about a street I've lived on at a previous address (the second has an added wrinkle of being an apartment or condo only), but none of the addresses are places I've lived.

I called TransUnion, and they also verify your ID with three questions, and their questions actually made sense. Unfortunately they are pretty useless over the phone, all they can so is tell you your accounts are in order, and mail you a copy of your report.

So, has anyone had the is problem and figured out a way around it? Do the incorrect addresses mean someone else is somehow involved in my credit score?
