This is for travel outside of the US and Canada.
Many banks in Canada charge:
Transaction Fee $5
Foreign Exchange Fee 2.5%
ING is better as the transaction fee is $2 and there's no foreign exchange fee.
But there may be other options like cards tied to investment accounts or credit cards.
Any suggestions?
If the card was on US soil with no Social Security Card requirement for Canadians that would be great too because that would mean free US withdrawls whenever you're in the US. And most Canadians shopping for good travel deals tend to pass through the US, often spending up to a day there between discount flights.
